BEA in brief
BEA is a Belgian Company founded in 1965 with more than 400 staff worldwide. Pioneering in the sector of sensors, BEA was one of the first companies in the world to come up with sensors specially aimed at opening and making automatic doors safe in commercial and industrial applications.
BEA headquarters, located in Liege, designs, produces and distributes their products all over Europe. The mother-company defines the global strategy of the group playing worldwide with branches in the United States, China, Hong-Kong and Japan.
The technologies used are Doppler effect (radar), active and passive infrared, magnetic induction and now LASER as well. These technologies enable us to offer you motion, presence and safety sensors for various types of applications.
Since 2002, BEA has been integrated within the British group HALMA includes 50 companies in the world active in the development, production and distribution of products aimed at the public and industrial safety.
In 2008, the “BEA industrial” division was launched to develop cutting edge detection solutions with our partners, in order to increase the performance of the automatic door package and the comfort and safety of the users.
