The Radar technology

The radar technology is based on the Doppler effect. The radar sensor emits continuously microwaves with same frequency on a defined field. Once there is a movement in the detection field, the microwaves will come back to sensor with a different frequency and this will create a detection.

Further this technology allows to distinguish between an approaching and a departing movement and by doing this only open the door for an approaching target. These function called “direction sensing / unidirectionality” reduces the opening cycles and generates energy savings.

Above of this the radar technology offers the possibility to reject cross traffic as well as to differentiate between pedestrians and vehicles in order to open the door only for vehicles.

The radar technology is a well-known technology which is used to open doors worldwide.
